Kettle Corn

There's nothing better than curling up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn on a cold winter night. Luckily, we've found a kettle corn recipe that will knock your socks off! It's really quick, easy and delicious!

You Will Need:
-2 1/2 Tblsp vegetable oil
-1/2 c popcorn kernels
-1/4 c sugar
-Salt (We used approx. 3/4 tsp, but it depends how salty you want it to be.)

Method:
In a lidded pot, heat the oil and the kernels on medium high heat. Once the oil begins to sizzle and make noise, add the sugar. Keep the popcorn moving by gently shaking the pot so that the kernels move around and they don't burn. After a few minutes, the kernels will start to pop. Keep gently shaking the pot to keep the already popped ones from burning. When the popping slows down to just a few pops, remove the pot from the heat and pour the kettle corn into a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and stir it around so that the salt will distribute evenly. The popcorn will be sticky from the melted sugar, so leave it to cool for a few minutes. (We put it in the freezer for a couple mins, and it worked out fine. Just make sure they're not in there for too long!)
